Let’s do this.
You know how teams can be working flat out shipping features, writing reports, rolling out programs – but it feels like they’re not actually making meaningful progress?
I help organisations cut through that noise.
I work across teams to get clear on the problems we’re trying to solve, the outcomes that matter, and the signals that’ll tell us if we’re on track. That might look like reshaping a strategy so it’s easier to act on, aligning different departments behind a shared goal, or turning early ideas into something we can test with real people.
My role is often about creating focus so that teams stop spinning their wheels and start building momentum. I work closely with people from all parts of the business – product, design, ops, comms, finance – to connect their efforts in a way that’s practical and directional. I bring structure where things are ambiguous, and movement where things are stuck.
The result? Leaders can be confident they’re investing in the right things. Teams feel like their work has purpose and direction. And progress becomes something you can actually see, not just talk about.

My practices
-
Strategic design
When an organisation is trying to move forward but the path is unclear, I help frame the challenge, align stakeholders, and make the next move visible. This includes journey mapping, strategic blueprints, outcome frameworks, and roadmaps – delivered with speed and rigour.
-
Delivery
Delivery is where strategy becomes reality. I help teams turn insight and alignment into high-quality execution without losing sight of the bigger picture. Whether it’s a product, service, or internal tool, I work to make sure what gets built is usable, valuable, and delivers on its intent. That means clarifying roles, unblocking progress, and holding the line on quality when it counts.
-
Facilitation & alignment
From off-sites to project kick-offs, I design and run workshops that get people aligned around what matters. These aren’t just feel-good sessions; they produce decisions, actions, and lasting clarity.
-
Design strategy
Design strategy is about deciding how to solve the right problem. I help define the approach, tools, and activities that will drive progress – tailored to the context, constraints, and outcomes that matter. It’s about shaping the path, aligning people early, and setting up the work for meaningful impact.
-
Embedded design leadership
I join teams mid-flight to help lift quality, confidence, and momentum. Whether I’m working alongside designers or translating between execs and delivery teams, I focus on shifting behaviour and delivering clarity in the work.
-
Research & validation
I establish and lead research programs that de-risk decisions and build confidence. From early discovery to concept testing, I help teams understand users, stakeholders, and systems so that they can move forward with clarity. Always rigorous. Always practical.

Speaking & presenting
I make sure that when my audiences walk out of that room, they see the world differently.
As a speaker, I draw on personal experiences and perspectives to share unique, actionable ideas with my audiences.
As a host, I keep audiences engaged, panels honest and conversations relatable.
I am relaxed and engaging, and bring a mix of deep thinking and dry wit to any event.
My skills and style come from:
10 years as a stand-up comedian
5 years as a TV presenter
9 years as a corporate facilitator
“We asked Rich to close our Global Board Meeting and I’m so glad we did. Rich is able to be profoundly insightful on a broad range of topics, and is extremely funny to boot.
I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to give their guests or employees something to think about, laugh at, and remember for a long time. ”
— Jaimes Leggett. CEO, M&C Saatchi Australia
“Rich hosted an inaugural event for us, without the benefit of knowing how the audience might respond to the content – it could have gone in any way. He made everyone feel at ease and, with a deft humorous touch, seamlessly tied the content together.
The event was a great success much to Rich’s credit. I would highly recommend Rich in the future.”

“Rich is a natural facilitator and host - I worked with Rich on an online training event with over 50 attendees and his facilitation made it one of our most successful to date. His refreshing perspective, ability to energise the crowd and establish a real connection engaged a Zoom-fatigued group. Rich brings a unique blend of quick wit, fast thinking, and an uncanny ability to improvise and pivot. I’d absolutely recommend Rich for anyone looking to organise a workshop or large event - you’ll be in for a show!”

I was so happy when Rich agreed to speak at Creative Mornings – his talk was not only entertaining but highly thought provoking.
Rich is a really engaging presenter and had us hanging off his every word. he brilliantly uses humour to get his message across.
We gave him the theme "Flow" and he nailed it. He created a talk from scratch and put a lot of thought and effort into creating it. He was such a pleasure to work with.
